Two PCP activists beaten by JSS-Reformists

TWO activists of the Hill
students’ council, better known by its Bengali acronym PCP, were beaten up by
JSS-Reformist group in Mahalchari on Thursday night.
According to PCP sources, the
victims were putting up posters about a protest demonstration to be held in
Dhaka on 28 January, when JSS-Reformists led by Tonok Chakma, Digonta Chakma
and Rupentu Chakma attacked them at Mahalchari Degree college gate.
The attackers took away Shukromoni Chakma
president of PCP Kyang-ghat Union branch, and Ordhendu Chakma, president of PCP
Battalion School branch to a nearby area and then beat them up.
Later local Marma youths rushed there and
rescued them.
