THE two Jumma activists arrested by BGB on 8 June from Gomati in Matiranga Upazila have been released on bail.
The Khagrachari District Chief Judicial Magistrate, Iftarul Islam Mallik, granted bail to Sushanta Tripura, 20, organizing secretary of Matriganga DYF and Amal Tripura, 18, a member of Matiranga PCP today.Advocate Gyana Chakma moved bail petitions on their behalf.
They walked out of Khagrachari jail at 4:45pm.
Sushanta and Amal were arrested from Taipa area in Gomati by BGB personnel from Palashpur zone while they were on their way back home in Matiranga after attending public meetings.
The BGB placed a rickety gun in their hands before handing them over to Matiranga police station.
A false case was filed against them under arms and explosives Act.
